Florida Ready to Work

Leading the way in responding to employer demand for foundational employability skills, Florida has invested in the Florida Ready to Work program. Florida Ready to Work is a research-based career readiness program created by Florida law that focuses on developing a work ready talent pipeline with the essential employability skills required for individual, business, and whole community economic well-being and growth. Florida Ready to Work provides employability and soft skills training in partnership with school district, workforce system, state college, technical center, adult education, juvenile justice, correction, employer and other community-based partners statewide. Those who successfully complete the program earn the Florida Ready to Work Credential and/or the Florida Soft Skills Credential. Both credentials are signed by Governor Ron DeSantis and recognized as a common measure of foundational skill readiness for most jobs across industry sectors.
